Halyna Yeremenko is a mediator accredited by CEDR (UK) and a member of the international CEDR trainers network. She currently also serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Education: Qualified lawyer. In 1995, she defended her PhD thesis titled “Compensation for Damage Caused by Public Authorities” (Kharkiv). As a fellow of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT, Rome, Italy), she participated in a professional development program in 2001.
She is a co-author of civil law textbooks, legal encyclopedias, academic monographs, and scholarly articles. In 2004 and 2010, she became a Laureate of the Yaroslav Mudryi Award of the Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine (as part of an authors’ team).

Professional experience:
From 1993 to 1994, she worked as a lawyer, and from 1995 to 2003 served as Vice President of the International Institute of Business. From 2003 to 2007, she was Deputy Director of the HRM School at kmbs.
She participated in executive education programs focused on business education development at INSEAD (France), the Irish Management Institute (IMI, Ireland), the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM, UK), and others.
She has over 9 years of experience as Vice President of the International Institute of Business, where she was responsible for cooperation with the State Property Fund of Ukraine, the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the Antimonopoly Committee, the Ministry of Economy, and others.
Since 2008, she has been the Head of the Ukrainian Mediation Center at Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, established in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group).
In 2010, she won a national competition in Ukraine for a mediation internship at the JAMS Foundation (USA). The same year, a film on mediation produced under her leadership was nominated for the CEDR Awards (UK).
Halyna has practical experience as a mediator in commercial, organizational, and family disputes and conflicts. She is also a co-author of the draft Law of Ukraine “On Mediation.”
In 2010, she worked as a negotiation trainer at the School of Senior Civil Service of Ukraine. She also has teaching experience with UNDP, ABA, CEELI, and has conducted mediator training programs in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus.
In 2012, Halyna served as Acting Chair of the Mediation Commission and Advisor to the President of the ICC.
She is the recipient of the “Era of Mediation” award in the category “For achievements in theoretical and applied research in alternative dispute resolution technologies” (Kazakhstan, 2013).
Her case study “Development of the ‘Collaboration’ Competence [Bionic LTD]” successfully passed a rigorous blind selection process and was presented at the 6th Annual International Conference of the EuroMed Academy of Business (EMBRI).
